    this is a beautiful painting. i think it is very interesting that you cant really tell whether or not the figure is coming or going. i think this because the figure is pretty much just a silhouette, but maybe looking at the actual piece it might be easier to tell. there is a castle on the hill in the background and some white birds flying over the lake.
