Wordle Lesson Plan

Title: Wordle Me This

Brief History and Background:
Many students have trouble memorizing key words and phrases in chapters they have to read for school. Vocabulary comes second nature to some, but what about those who learn differently? This lesson will help students memorize more easily and fluidly through repetition and visual stimulation.

Standards: 9.1, 9.2, 9.3

Goal: Create a Wordle using words out of a choice subject book.

Objectives:

* Students will read more effectively
* Students will expand their vocabulary
* Students will employ their new knowledge of wordle learning
* Students will Create a Wordle using words out of a choice subject book.

Paper, markers, subject book

Introduction:
Many students have trouble memorizing key words and phrases in chapters they have to read for school. Vocabulary comes second nature to some, but what about those who learn differently? This lesson will help students memorize more easily and fluidly through repetition and visual stimulation.


Directions:
Students will begin by chosing a subject chapter out of another subject they are currently working on.
Students will write out any words that they thing are important or relevant to the subject at hand. The more relevant, the more time they write it.
Students will then creatively design a Wordle on paper, taking care to make the more frequently written words are larger than the others.
